Three games is cool, but why not ban him for the season?
The dirty-hitting, Palestinian-loving linebacker for the Houston Texans, Azeez Al-Shaair, is officially locked in when it comes to his three-game suspension. Al-Shaair’s punishment comes after an absolutely vicious knock on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Al-Shaair appealed the NFL‘s suspension, with the league upholding their decision.
“Hearing officer Ramon Foster, jointly appointed by the NFL and NFLPA, has upheld the three-game suspension of Houston linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair,” wrote NFL Senior Vice President of Football & International Communications Michael Signora in a Twitter post Wednesday.

With a little over four minutes to go in the first half of Sunday’s contest between the Texans and Jaguars, Al-Shaair illegally blasted Lawrence while he was sliding during a second-and-7 play. The hit sparked outrage all across the league.

The more this saga drags on, and the deeper the hole that Azeez Al-Shaair digs for himself, the more I want the NFL to change their decision and just suspend the guy for the rest of the season, especially considering Trevor Lawrence is most likely going to miss the rest of the campaign.
It’s only fair the way I see it.
