What a joke…
Azeez Al-Shaair, a linebacker for the Houston Texans, was hit with an ejection Sunday after an absolutely dirty hit on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Ever since then, he’s been getting ridiculed left and right by the good people of social media. Well, Al-Shaair has now issued an apology to Lawrence, while also blasting fans as “racist” and “Islamophobic.”
“To Trevor I genuinely apologize to you for what ended up happening. Before the game we spoke and I told you how it was great to see you back out on the field and wished you well,” stated Al-Shaair in a Twitter post Monday morning. “I would never want to see any player hurt because of a hit I put on them especially one that’s deemed ‘late’ or ‘unnecessary.'” (RELATED: Azeez Al-Shaair Blasted With More Backlash For Wearing ‘Free Palestine’ Cleats Following Dirty Hit On Trevor Lawrence)
But then things got weird, as Al-Shaair went straight into victim mentality and started going off on a random rant about fans being “racist” and “Islamophobic.”
“To the rest of the people who I’ve been called every single name in the book from reporters with their hands ready for a story to find their villain, to racist and Islamophobic fans and people, you don’t know my heart nor my character which I don’t need to prove to any of you.”

At least he apologized, I guess, but do you really think it’s smart to attack fans like that? You know, the people who get you PAID?
